Janice L. Wood, serving as Principal of Ellisar Insurance Associates, initiated her career in insurance in 1997. She worked as a Professional Liability Underwriter at Executive Risk in Simsbury, CT and later at a high excess mutual company in Tampa, FL. Having established solid experience in the industry, Janice moved to a larger insurance brokerage in Hartford, CT, to gain more direct involvement with clients in crafting, acquiring, and overseeing commercial risk transfer programs.

Throughout her 20-year career in insurance, Janice has been involved in both underwriting and brokerage side. She possesses extensive experience across various industries and company sizes, offering a consultative approach to customize policies that address her clients' unique needs and establishing preventative measures to mitigate accidents. Her meticulousness and proactive marketing strategies have paved the way for the establishment of Ellisar Insurance Associates. At Ellisar, she continues to dedicate herself to her clients' requirements, many of whom have been with her for the majority of her professional journey.

Janice is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is duly licensed in Property and Casualty and Life and Health Insurance and holds her Associates in Risk Management (ARM) designation and Property and Casualty Consultants License.  The agency's licenses extend beyond Connecticut to New York, Pennsylvania, George, California and Florida states.
